Death Note's story is about a prodigy named Light, who happens to come across a notebook, that is owned by a shinigami (death god) named Ryuk. This notebook, has a mysterious power. When you write a human's name in it, within 40 seconds they will die. You can choose to tell how they die, or if you leave it blank, they will die of a heart attack. Thus Light who has become disgusted of the world, decides to change it for the better. He starts a campaign to rid the world of crime. But what sacrifices will Light give to obtain his new world?

In "Death Note", Tatsuya Fujiwara plays the role of Light Yagami, a genius law student who picks up the "Death Note" and uses it to "cleanse" the world of evil. Upholding justice obsesses him and he envisions himself as a god in the crime-less utopia he plans to create. As criminals continue to die in unexplainable ways, people start saying that it must be the work of a "messiah", of whom they call Kira. L, played by Kenichi Matsuyama, works for the International Criminal Police Organisation (ICPO) and is deployed to solve the Kira mystery.
In "Death Note 2: The Last Name", the story continues as Light devises a plan to be part of the Kira Task Force headed by L. While the two geniuses are busy dealing with each other, a second Death Note drops into Earth. Rem, a Shinigami, brings the second notebook and Misa Amane (Erika Toda), a pop star and Kira worshipper, comes into possession of it. Becoming a Kira herself, she accepts the offer to have the 'Eyes of the Death' which will enable her to know the name of any person without being told. As Misa and Light work together to get rid of L, a new character, Kiyomi Takada (Nana Katase), comes into the picture as the third Kira. With the disclosure of the new rules of the Death Note, the mystery becomes more complex, with a satisfying storyline and a completely unpredictable finale. (Note: the movie will NOT end the same way the original comic does.)
With the introduction of new characters and new elements being added to the "Death Note" saga, "Death Note 2" is definitely more intriguing and unpredictable than Part One. More character development and better cinematography allows director Shusuke Kaneko to feature a film that will live up to the manga series' name. In the first movie, the three main characters, Light, L and Misa never get to meet each other. But in the sequel they do! And this dynamic interaction of deception is beautifully executed by the actors with their screen chemistry and finely-tuned performances. Fans of Misa will also be pleased to know that this time around her character has more complexity. Scenes of her room, which is decorated with 'Hungry & Angry' stuffed animals and sensual dolls specially designed for her, clearly reflect Misa's taste in 'Gothic Lolita' and add depth to her personality.
Apart from physical illustration, the movie also concentrates on symbolism. One example is in the beginning of the film where Light and L engaged in a game of chess, which is the best representation of their hyper intellectual and psychological duels with each other.

part 2 aku belum tgk la..pernah tgk death note part 1 tu jer..suka dengan watak L..nmpk mcm bodoh jer tapi penuh dgn strategi..kuat mkn junkfood tapi kurus mcm lidi..dah la pkai celak tebal2..
wahahahaha!! selain dr, fullmetal alchemist, naruto, conan, deathnote jugak salah satu anime yang aku tergile2 kan. komik die agak payah nak cari sbb jln citer mcm ngantok, dan kureng dpt sambutan. memerlukan daya tumpuan yang tinggi compare dgn komik2 lain mcm dewata raya. tp, korg leh carik manga komik nih kat sg wang, kalo kat kedai mamak tader.(which tak sume ada jual) skrg nih, dah ada vcd kartun deathnote gak yang kuar. aku mmg layan habis komik die. n bile muvi 1 die kuar, aduih, aku betul2 teruja gile. skrrg ni, komik die sampai 8 aku ade. mmg susah nak carik sikit. bukan setiap bulan lak tu kuar. komik die sume aku balut cun2. mcm anime2 lain, depends on jln cerita, aku ada komik, atau anime die. aku suke manga2 nih.. so skrg nih, aku tunggu muvi no 2 yg bakal ditayangkan akhir jan nih. dulu sblm muvi kuar, aku payah nak cari source sbb, tak ramai member tahu cerita nih.
walaubagaimanapun...aku sgt kagum dgn L yg mcm pelik tu, tp aku lg sgt mengakumi n teruja dgn Kira, watak yang boleh buat ku separuh mati memuja.hahahahaha...L mmg pandai, tp pada firasat aku-Kira boleh kalahkan L. (dr pembacaan komik)

erm, lagi-selain dr kumpul dvd, komik n donlot anime2 nih, aku jugak kumpul souvenir dr anime2 ni. mcm, initial D, conan, fullmetal alkimis, naruto-deathnote je tak, sbb deathnote ada salib. n, tak byk souvenir. tp, kalo lah, korg ada info pasal anime2 nih, bgtahulah dgn aku. kita share sama2. tp, bukan anime je aku kumpul, star wars, lotr pun, aku ada figure dia.
kesimpulannya, aku sungguh excited gile n obses dgn deathnote dlm byk2 anime yg aku kumpul.
Sometimes We think about them who we love but since its not belongs to us we just think and think and think only just watch and learn from the pass...... ^^
